Do not recommend their carpet installation. They were the only place around that had the carpet that I wanted. So I paid for someone to come out and give me an estimate. I also had to pay to check out a carpet sample (both of these things are free to do at and almost any other carpet store). They claim to have prescreened installers. The one they sent out to our house was one who used to own a store in town and we had used in the past. However, in our past experience one of his employees had stolen a gun from us and it was later used to commit a crime. So I called the store to tell them I wasn't comfortable with the installer that they sent out. The girl who worked there said that they have had a lot of complaints about that installer and that the guys who work for him were really scary. So a week later, they sent out a second installer who was supposed to be their best. His estimate was a couple of hundred dollars higher than the first guy. Since this was the only place that had the carpet I wanted I had no choice but to pay it. When his guys arrived, they said that nobody told them that we had stairs and they didn't have the type of staples with them to wrap the carpet around each stair as I had wanted. I told them I would wait for them to run up to Lowes (10 miles away) to get the staples. They said that Lowes didn't sell the staples they needed and would have to drive ALL THE WAY to Home Depot. They wanted to instead just install the carpet on the stairs without wrapping each stair. I wanted them wrapped, so they we upset with me for making them have to go out of their way. The carpet ended up beautiful, except for a floor plug, where they just cut a square in the carpet and left a flap. They said there was no way to install the plug plate over this thick carpet. Something I feel should have been told to me at the time I was given the estimate. So I ended up going to Lowes and buying a different plug plate and finishing it myself (yes, me, a woman with no experience, yet I was told it wasn't possible). When finished, we had sooooo much left over carpet. We had enough left to recarpet the stairs two more times! You see, they get paid by the amount you purchase, not the amount installed and they make you purchase ten percent more than you need. So wasteful!!!! Wasteful for my pocket book and wasteful for the environment!
